We gathered as normal with good attendance, two of our team were unable to attend but this didn’t deter us.
We spent a minute being still and knowing He is God before sharing test and testimonies. As has become the norm we spent half an hour sharing. This is such a beautiful and encouraging time.
We then moved into a time of worship, there was a word shared quoting John 1:23 as John the Baptist quoted Isaiah “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord” with the Holy Spirit revealing this was for someone feeling lost in the wilderness and also a call to be baptised. At the end of our worship there was a really sense of the Holy Spirit change in the atmosphere so we waited a while to allow Jesus to minster to us.
Then a talk was given on the Ten Commandments working through each of the command in a clear and personal way, with the speaker being brought to tears at one point as the reflected on their life before knowing Jesus’s grace and forgiveness. The speaker finished by inviting us to the foot of the cross to repent, some went forward and others prayed where the were but everyone engaged.
So, another great gathering it is so beautiful seeing how Jesus is building a Church at Hope Central. What a privilege it is to be part of this. All glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Thank you Taste & See for your continuing prayer support it is vital. Please feel free to share a scripture, word or picture with us. Here are a couple we received this week
The First:
Hope it was a good evening for Hope Central tonight.
I had this word for you to test for Hope Central.
Picture of an old grey-haired man – ‘Father Time’ and a large clock face.
Phrase ‘for such a time as this’. I had to look it up as I didn’t know what Father Time was.
Father Time was an old man carrying a scythed and hour glass; representing time – past, future and present.
Meaning ‘do (something) at a particular moment.
The scythe is a tool used for cutting crops.
Sense that this word represents a time for harvesting. You have prepared the ground, sown and nurtured the seeds to full grown.
It’s time for weaning from milk to solid food.
Time of equipping those who have accepted Jesus into their lives at Hope Central with spiritual tools. Getting them ready to step out.
Time to stop spoon feeding and a time to feed themselves spiritually.
1 Corinthians 3:13-14 – Everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil
The Second:
Luke 1:46-49 Mary’s Song
And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.
Can you hear those dry bones RATLING….
