HC at CTL “A Family of Believers” 15/05/24

The Hope Central community agreed to go to the Churches Together in Loughton gathering at Epping Forest Community Church this week instead of gathering as normal in the Hope Centre at St Mary’s Loughton. We did this as some members of CTL have been very supportive of our community since we launched back in September 2022 and we also want to be united with our fellow believers in Loughton.

Seven of us gathered at Colin and Mandy’s house first and we met the rest at EFCC, there were Twelve in total. We had a great time worshipping and during the course of the evening we were all called to the front and all those who had gathered prayed and prophesied over us for about half an hour, it was so honouring and a special time for HC.

Prophetic Words

Prism of light – the beauty only comes because of scratches on the outside – Don’t discount yourselves.

Lay your lives down completely surrendered to him. Like the woman who broke her perfume over Jesus’ feet – the world thought she was bonkers but in generations to come they remembered her.

Lay Your lives down so that in generations to come you will be remembered for your love of Jesus

As is normal at the end HC were the last to leave as everyone was sharing & catching up, we have become a family of believers…

Thank you Jesus

Thank you Taste & See for your continuing prayer support it is vital. Please feel free to share a scripture, word or picture with us. Here are a couple we received this week

The First a word

I was praying for Hope Central yesterday.  Reminded of the word given to you ‘milk to solid foods’ and I asked God how you leaders would do that?  ‘In small amounts’ came to mind and I was reminded of a mother weaning her baby; starting with very small amounts and I think God is saying to you, ‘take small steps’.  ‘Don’t run before you can walk’ comes to mind.

I felt led to pray that God would protect his harvest from the enemy, with his lies and deceit and the way of the world.  Had a picture of a bird brooding over her young, protecting them from danger.

In my daily devotion yesterday, it mentions ‘bring them (children) up in the training and instruction of the Lord’. Ephesians 6:4.

In verse 14 of Corinthians 3, that I previously gave you,

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil”.  I think getting to know God through the word and prayer will train their senses to do this and to protect them ‘the devil prowls around like a roaring lion ready to devour.’.  In the wild the young are particularly vulnerable and as it is with young Christians.

I pray that these young Christians will be able to grab hold of God’s teachings, to understand and to live them out.  That God will protect their mind from the schemes of the enemy.

The Second a scripture

Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Can you hear those dry bones RATLING….
