Hope Central was on pause for Easter last week

We had three new comers this week as we gathered together to watch the “Jesus Revolution”. A true storey of how revival started through Hippies in California back in 1968. The Hippies who were in the Hope Central age group, found through their pursuit of love and a spiritual awakening that, “Jesus is the answer”. This rival known as the Jesus Movement spread throughout America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand before it subsided in the late 1980’s.

We started by reading verses from Ezekiel 36 as verse 26 had come up as we were still before God during our Sunday service and again on the bible app this week. The Holy Spirit revealed that verses 24-28 were for Hope Central and their generation.

Ezekiel 36:24-28

“For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.”

The world is doing it all it can to pollute this generation, through social media and desensitise them through gaming / films etc. But God has had enough of this. That the film is a taste of what He is going to do, through his Son Jesus and His Holy Spirit. He is going to cleanse them and give them new hearts and a new passion for Him. He is going to do a new thing in and through them.

As is our custom before starting the film, we share our test and testimonies, which as always is was a beautiful time of vulnerability and praise.
