Hope Central gathered as normal, we opened with a word about calling out to God when we are fearful and how He sustain us and give us peaceful sleep. We then went on to share test and testimonies, this was a beautiful time of vulnerability and praise.
We prayed and then we postured ourselves for worship (PASSION). There was a real sense of freedom and the presence of the Holy Spirit during this time, everyone was on their feet praising. There were two prophetic words shared as the Holy Spirit ministered to us. One talked about how Jesus was carrying us all on his shoulders and the second talk about us being released from fear.
This all lead nicely into the first part of a two-part talk on “Fear”. As the talk was narrated, we were all repeatedly prompted to declare together:
“I am no longer a slave to fear”
“I am a child of God”
There was a real sense of fun during the talk and at one point one of the community spontaneously burst into gut wrenching laughter. They just couldn’t stop, in fact the more they tried to stop the more the laughed. The Holy Spirit was realising Joy in the room. For such a potentially difficult subject there was so much fun and laughter.
We closed in prayer and then spontaneously nearly everyone gathered around the person who had burst into laughter and asked them to pray for the release of Joy over them, there was much laughter and joy in the room…
We packed up and people hung around to talk as usual but it was as though time had been stretched, as when we checked the clock at the close only half an hour had past and we were about to leave unexpectedly early…!
What an amazing night, thank you Jesus, you deserve all the glory
As always thank you for your prayer support its essential, powerful and affective.
A Scripture from a member of Taste & See
Ephesians 6:13-17
Therefore, put on the full Armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
