The Call of Abram Part Two 13/12/23

Unfortunately, we could not run Hope Central last week a Mandy and I were unwell and as we have a small team with only one male member, the rest of team do not feel comfortable to open without us. So, we would appreciate your prayers for our Lord Jesus to raise up an additional male leader. Thank you

This week as we prayed at the beginning there was a prophetic sense that it was still raining at Hope Central, that the tears that had been shed the last time we met had fallen on fertile soil, and beautiful plants had sprung up with purple flowers the colour of royalty.

Before we started worship, we shared the days word for the day “If you are feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, come. If you’re feeling grateful or expectant, come. If you’re feeling joyful or grievous, confident or doubtful, encouraged or frustrated, come” Psalm 95:6 “Oh come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!  We sensed that Jesus was asking us to hand all and any of these things to Him as we worshiped

As we moved from worship to the talk there was a prophetic word shared:

“Wherever you are right now Jesus knows, He cares about every detail and He is with you”

This led us nicely into talk about Abram’s calling, Abram’s obedience and Gods promises to him “I will, I will, I will and all people will be blessed”

That we are all called in some way and that there can be a journey to go on as Jesus guides us into our calling.

You say “But I need to have more information” God says “You will know as you go!”

With each step of faith you take, God will reveal another detail. He will inform you on a “need-to-know’ basis

So, is God who said to Abram “Go to the land that I will show you” saying something similar to you? Don’t be afraid, just step out in faith and obey Him

If not then why not step out in another way and not ask Him to reveal to you your calling

As always, we finished with a time of response and prayer

Thank you, Jesus, for another blessed time….

Scripture from a member of Taste & See

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Thank you for your prayer support, it is invaluable…..
