We were so excited to celebrate a year of Hope Central this Wednesday, what a challenging, and testing year it has been, yet on the other hand it has also been a very encouraging and fruitful year.
Nineteen of us gathered together, celebrating with homemade pancakes, games and sharing testimonies. It was quite an emotional time as we also remembered Aaron who had been leading with us from the start, but we know how proud he would of have been seeing so many of the community turn up to celebrate. This is the fruit he would have wanted to see from the seeds that Hope Central has sown.
It was also a very joyful and fun evening as we socialised together, and for us as team to see how friendships are forming. We had encouraging testimonies shared which showed how much Hope Central means to those that come and has become that safe place to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
We now look forward to the next year with expectant hearts and can’t wait to see what Jesus will do next.
Thank you for all your prayer support, it is such a vital part of Hope Central so please keep pressing on, as strong foundations have been laid.
This week’s scripture from a member of “Taste & See” – Luke 9:18-20
Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah
18 Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?”
19 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.”
20 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”
