A Time for Everything

Dear Tase & See Prayer Partners,

We write our first post back since summer holidays with a very heavy heart, as most of you will be aware our dear brother Aaron went to be with the lord on the 22nd August. Aaron was one of our leaders at Hope Central and who also came up with and set up Taste & See. We miss Aaron deeply, but we take comfort knowing he is with his saviour and part of his legacy lives through Hope Central. We know that Aaron would want us to continue with Hope Central, so we will carry on with Gods strength and your prayers during this next difficult season for us and our community will be invaluable.

We gathered together on Wednesday 23rd August to grieve Aaron together as a community, we realised that many of the community were experiencing grief for the first time, so this week Mandy spoke on grieving.

Ten of us gathered together including one new comer for our first week back and as a team we found the new normal particularly difficult but we pushed through with a good time of worship. Mandy then gave a talk on grieving which was well received and lead to a great time of discussion. Mandy spoke about how Jesus wept at the loss of Lazarus even though He was going to raise him from the dead and how our great high priest is acquainted with all that we go through on earth and He weeps with us today as we mourn.

We also keep our Leaders & Church Family in our prayers as we navigate through this next season.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
