Last night was amazing and we wish everyone could have been there to be part of it! The Holy Spirit was moving and beautiful things were happening.
Unfortunately this week we were short on team; Colin was ill and Aaron and Regina are unable to be with us for an extended period. Knowing that Jonathan Huff was joining was from Holy Trinity South Woodford, Mandy and Hannah began the night in the only way they could – praying that Jesus would move in their weakness. Jesus gave a picture of M and H using torches to light up the darkness in their fear but the light was only reaching the areas the torch was shining in and the darkness and fear was all around. Then, when they allowed the Holy Spirit to take control, the light shifted from the torch to themselves and they were lit up in light. The darkness was still around them but they were no longer fearful because the HS was moving.
To start the night we shared the picture with everyone, opened the opportunity for testimonies to be shared and then began with worship. During worship the Holy Spirit moved in a way that hasn’t been felt for a few weeks. It was tangible and when some songs stopped, worship continue spontaneously around the room as people offered up their hearts to Jesus. We worshiped in song after song until we just needed to pause to the Spirit minister around the room.
In true Jesus fashion, the evening lined up perfectly as Jonathan then spoke about being filled with the Holy Spirit, teaching about what it looks like, who it is for (everyone!) and how to pray for it. We then broke into small groups and prayed for each other to be filled and for Jesus to move.
Thank you Jesus
Also a big thank you to our Taste & See community for your continued prayers over the young people of Loughton and beyond! Please pray for more of tonight, more hunger and thirst and a desire to know our God deeper. Over the summer we will be taking a bit of a break and meeting socially to continue to build relationships with our fantastic community. Please pray for this and share with us any pictures or encouragements you receive. We will be quiet on Taste & See until September but we are so grateful for your love, support and time.
