26/04/23 Testimony Night

Month seven at Hope Central and this week was a little different, as one of our community members invited their friends along to hear them give their testimony. There was around 25 people including team and a young reverend from Grays.

We shared how easy it can be to get overwhelmed, even when we are trying to do good things and how busyness can lead to burn out, we need to keep a check on ourselves, know when to say no & keep an eye on our one to one times with God. “Be still & know that I am God”

We had a of time worship, with prophetic words shared. After three songs we were going to finish but one of the community asked for one more song to be played, we felt pleased that they felt it was OK to ask and we honoured their request. There was a real sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit and freedom for those in bondage.

This extended worship meant there was no time for the talk so, we moved straight to the testimony. A very brave and powerful testimony was given. We then asked if anyone wanted to share a reflection or had a prophetic word. The reverend raised his hand, so we invited him to the front, he produced some oil and anointed and prayed powerfully for the person who had given their testimony and spoke prophetically over them and he encouraged everyone to join in by reaching out their hands. He also had a prophetic word for one of the community and one of our leaders.

We closed in prayer and then everyone hung around until around until 10:30 talking and praying for each other. Another blessed night at Hope Central, thank you Jesus

This weeks scripture from a member of our prayer team Colossians 3:l5-l7

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
